FARCOM

TE/MB is a digital thermometer used for a precise measurement of temperature and its

transfer to the controlling module by means of EIA/TIA485 and MODBUS protocol. There is used a Dallas semiconductor integrated digital sensor in various mechanical configurations. Dallas sensor can be placed at 300 metres distance from TE/MB evaluation unit (see 1-Wire Dallas bus specification) 

TE/MB communicates with the sensor by means of 1-Wire Dallas bus and doesn’t require calibration. Modbus address and baudrate are configured by a DIP switches 1 ,2, 3. DIP switches 6, 7, 8 are used for emulation settings of measured temperatures.

In FARCOM system is the TE/MB module usually put on the subsidiary RS485 line, which is mastered by a MPM-R or MPM-H module. There can be connected up to 16 TE/MB modules to one MPM-H module.
