Multiple input thermometer MT-8
MT-8 is a digital multiple input thermometer used for a precise measurement of temperatures and their transfer to the controlling module by means of EIA/TIA485 and MODBUS protocol. There are used Dallas semiconductor integrated digital sensors in various mechanical configurations.
MT-8 can replace 8 TE/MB modules. It is possible to measure up to eight temperatures with 0,5°C precision and the resolution of 0,0625°C independently. Dallas sensors can be placed at 300 metres distance from MT-8 evaluation unit (see 1-Wire Dallas1-Wire® Dallas bus specification).
In FARCOM system is the MT-8 module usually put on the subsidiary RS485 line, which is mastered by a MPM-H module.
There can be connected up to 2 MT-8 modules to one MPM-H module.
