FARCOM

Module Gateway-X is a universal programmable ethernet module. It is used for general protocol conversion tasks like interfacing security systems and fire systems to remote control and supervisory systems. It is also used for remote monitoring of contoller modules placed on LAN/WAN networks. In FARCOM system is the module used for centralized control of lights based on the light level values read from LX-2.

There is a 10 Base-T interface with RJ-45 connector and 1kV DC galvanic isolation to connect the Gateway-X to Ethernet networks. When connected to network it is possible to remotely change the module configuration.

There are also 2 serial communication lines EIA/TIA-485 with 1,6kV RMS galvanic isolation. It is also possible to switch the physical interface of second line to EIA/TIA 232.

For some basic indications of a module status can be used LED diodes located at the front panel. There are also hex switches hidden below the panel to set the numeric configuration of the module.

Note : This module is based on Ethernut 1.3g hardware platform and NutOs operating system, which provides the customer a possibility to quickly implement new ethernet applications.
